PLEASE TAKE NOTICE, that the Board of Managers of the Carnelian Marine St. Croix Watershed District will hold a public hearing at 6:30 p.m., Wednesday, September 8, 2021, at the Scandia City Hall, 14727 209th St N, Scandia, Minnesota, to consider the proposed 2022 fiscal year budget and levy for the District.  A summary of the proposed budget provides for the following expenditures:

Aquatic Invasive Species

40,000.00

Basin, Stream and Groundwater Monitoring

137,515.00

Inspection & Maintenance

93,100.00

Public Education

38,997.00

Permitting and Enforcement

99,000.00

Administration

  129,221.50

ADMIN-STUDY/PROJECT BUDGET TOTALS:

$979,959.00

 

Projected carry-over funds from 2021, grants, and other income will reduce the total proposed levy to $825,423.00.

All interest persons will have an opportunity to be heard at said time and place.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

Carnelian Marine St. Croix

Watershed Management Plan

 

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Carnelian Marine St. Croix (CMSCWD) will hold a public hearing during its regular monthly meeting on 

 

Wednesday September 8, 2021 at 7:00 p.m. 

at Scandia City Hall, 14727 209th St N, Scandia, Minnesota.

Interested persons are invited to attend. The purpose of the public hearing is to answer questions about the draft 10-year Carnelian Marine St. Croix Watershed Management Plan and rule revisions and to receive testimony and comments from the public and member communities regarding any provisions of the draft Plan and rule revisions.  Once approved and adopted by March 2022, the Watershed Management Plan will direct the work of the Carnelian Marine St. Croix Watershed District over the next 10 years.  The Plan includes a land and water resource inventory, an assessment of issues and opportunities, goals, policies, an implementation program, and a capital improvement program.  The rules contain proposed minor, non-substantive rule revisions to refine and clarify present rules.

The comment and review period ends October 15, 2021.
