Former local prosecutor Dan Steffen was convicted of three felony counts of Capturing an Intimate Representation after a four-day jury trial that wrapped up Thursday in St. Croix County before Judge Scott Nordstrand. The jury took just two hours of deliberation before returning unanimous guilty verdicts on all three counts. Steffen was accused of filming several women during intimate encounters without their permission at his Polk County home.

After the verdict was read, Steffen was taken into custody and transferred to the Polk County Jail. His sentencing has not been set. With the conviction, Steffen faces a potential of a combined ten years in prison and up to/or including $30,000 in fines.
