PURSUANT TO MINNESOTA STATUTE §412.851

 

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a hearing will be held before the City Council of Scandia on the 20th day of April, 2021, at 7:00 pm to consider a proposed vacation of public drainage easements on property located at 12937 Mayberry Trail North, legally described as:

 

Part of Government Lot 2, Section 21, Township 32 North, Range 20 West, Washington County, Minnesota.

 

The public hearing will be conducted online by telephone or other electronic means pursuant to Minnesota Statutes Section 13D.021, due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Notice is hereby given that the Open Book meetings for the City of Scandia shall meet on the following dates and location. Please reference the link below for current meeting schedules and instructions: https://washington.minnesotaassessors.com/index.php. There are tentatively two Open Book meetings scheduled for property owners in open book communities if conditions allow: 

Property owners may attend any one of the two regional Open Book meetings.

The purpose of these meetings is to determine whether property in the jurisdiction has been properly valued and classified by the assessor. 

If you believe the value or classification of your property is incorrect, please contact Scandia Assessor Patrick Poshek at 651-430-0360 to discuss your concerns.

Notice of New On-Sale

Intoxicating Liquor License 

 

In accordance with Chapter 110: Alcohol Regulations, City of Scandia Code of Ordinances: 

 

Notice is hereby given that the Scandia City Council will hold a Public Hearing on a proposed On-Sale and Sunday On-Sale Intoxicating Liquor License for T1 Enterprises, LLC to operate “Thirsty Buffalo Saloon” located at 21050 Ozark Court North, Scandia, MN. 

 

The Public Hearing on the license application will be held on Tuesday, April 20, 2021, at 7:00 p.m. or as soon thereafter as possible. Given the current protocols for social distancing during the Covid-19 pandemic, the meeting will be held via online video and phone conferencing. Submit written comments concerning this application to the City Clerk b.eklund@ci.scandia.mn.us. To participate in the online meeting, call City Hall at 651-433-2274 or email the City Clerk no later than Monday, April 19, 2021 at 4:00 p.m to register for the video conferencing. At said hearing all persons shall be heard who wish to speak for or against the proposed license.

Notice is also given that the Probate Registrar has informally appointed the following: Benjamin David Rhode, 694 Laxford Road, San Jacinto, CA 92583, as personal representative of the Estate of the Decedent. Any heir, devisee or other interested person may be entitled to appointment of the personal representative. Unless objections are filed pursuant to Minn. Stat. § 524.3-607, and the court otherwise orders, the personal representative has full power to administer the Estate, including, after 30 days from the date of issuance of letters, the power to sell, encumber, lease or distribute real estate.

Any objections to the probate of the Will, or to the appointment of the personal representative, must be filed with this court, and will be heard by the court after the filing of an appropriate petition and proper notice of hearing.

Notice is also given that, subject to Minn. Stat. §524.3-801, all creditors having claims against the Estate are required to present the claims to the personal representative or to the Court Administrator within four (4) months after the date of this Notice, or the claims will be barred.
