Hi Suzanne,

You’re probably too young to remember when freedom of speech went away so it doesn’t hurt someone’s feelings. It started when they banned the Pledge of Allegiance from school. It might hurt the feelings of the atheists. Everything went downhill exponentially from there.

We didn’t have school shootings when kids were allowed to get their feelings hurt at a young age so they can learn to deal with it. Now kids are bubble wrapped and protected. When they get their feelings hurt for the first time as a teenager, they don’t know how to handle it so they lash out at the world.

That’s my 2 cents worth. It’s not the politically correct answer, but it’s true.
