The Scandia Heritage Alliance is hosting its Second Annual Progressive Dinner on Saturday, September 28, 2019. This event is promoted, supported and carried out by members of our community – and we want you!
Join in the fun, share stories, eat good food, meet some new people, and support this community-centric event.
Mayor Christine Maefsky and Scandia Heritage Alliance board member commented that “Last year’s Progressive Dinner, our first, was a great success with over 70 total participants. The dinner was both a fundraising effort for the public restoration of Scandia’s historic Water Tower Barn, and an opportunity for Scandia neighbors to gather and enjoy the wonderful community we have. Last year, at the final course of the night, one neighbor commented to me that he now had a whole new appreciation for Scandia and the people who live here. I agreed, and now look forward to adding to that appreciation with this year’s dinner.”
A progressive dinner is a dinner party with successive courses prepared and eaten at the residences of different hosts. Your evening will begin with appetizers, followed by soup or salad, then the main course, ending with dessert at Gammelgarden.
There are three opportunities and levels of participation available, including: 1) hosting one of the courses; 2) providing a dessert; or 3) participating in the progressive dinner. Tickets are $25 per person if you host a course; $35 per person if you provide a dessert; or $45 per person if you participate only.
