With a two and a half year project timeline, restoration has begun on 30 acres of open space parkland in Marine on St. Croix. Jackson Meadow Neighborhood Association, in partnership with the City, is utilizing a grant awarded through the Conservation Partners Legacy Program. The restoration process has the goal of bringing back undisturbed prairie, which in Minnesota amounts to only 1%.

Contractor Landbridge Ecological will mark off areas for safety during mechanical removal of trees and shrubs, but residents are invited to check on progress throughout the project. Additional volunteer efforts will be necessary to complete the project and will be promoted through local media.
