Delores C. Ecklund

DeLores C. Ecklund, age 85 and lifelong resident of Scandia and Marine on St. Croix area, went to be with her Lord and Savior while surrounded by her devoted family on Sunday, April 4, 2010.

DeLores was born April 24, 1924 in Scandia, Minnesota the daughter of William and Clara (Almquist) Ekegren.

She is preceded in death by her husband Donald; sister Harriet Johnson; brother Donald Ekegren. She will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved her including her children, Kent (Yvonne) Ecklund, Kim (Alan) Salmela; grandchildren, Jesse (Meggie) Lappe, Jenny (Mitch) Mackey, Cherie Zundel; great-grandchildren, Breanna and Tyler Lappe, Bob Zundel; sister Corinne Pahklamets; other family and friends.

A Celebration of her Life was held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, April 9, 2010 at Christ Lutheran Church, 150 5th Street, Marine on St. Croix. The family greeted friends from 4:00-8:00 p.m., Thursday at Mattson Funeral Home 343 North Shore Drive, Forest Lake and one hour prior to the service at the church.

Interment at Oakland Cemetery, Marine on St. Croix. Memorials are preferred to Christ Lutheran Church, American Diabetes Association or American Kidney Foundation.
